Taking On Too Much

Okay, so I'm bad about taking on too many things at once and not following through. Case in point: blog entry from three months ago about my trip to Hong Kong and the Philippines.

Oh, I've been aware of this bad habit for a while. At home, I have a pile of books and magazines (Backpacker, anyone?) that I have accumulated over the years that are sitting by my bed on my nightstand, in my nightstand, on the floor by my nightstand.... some from four years ago that I bought and never managed to even start. I mean, I buy them with the full intention of reading them. It's a simple of case of "So many books, so little time."

So here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to quit buying books and read the ones I've got. I'm going to finish telling you all about my trip to the Philippines. I'm also going to start writing in this blog again to let you all know what I'm working on. Right now, it's two words that sound sweeeet: financial freedom. (Those in the U.S. will understand what this means; I'm working on becoming debt-free! And setting up my finances to take care of loved ones I may leave behind.)

Intermittently, I will be posting entries about my trip as I get my photos ready. That's really what's caused me to quit writing. I took too many pictures, and can't decide on which ones to show you all. Just looking through them again today made me want to turn my computer off. But that's not your problem, is it? ;) Oh, the travails of going digital.
